Objective:<\/b><\/p>\n

To support independent living for people with disabilities by enhancing the capacities of organisations, carers and other relevant stakeholders through educational tools, training and the creation of a digital support platform.<\/span><\/p>\n

Target Groups of the Project:<\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

    \n
  1. NGOs <\/b>working with or interested in supporting independent living for adults with disabilities.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Adults with disabilities <\/b>(intellectual, physical, sensory).<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Local authorities, social welfare centres, <\/b>and <\/span>government departments <\/b>dealing with disability and deinstitutionalisation issues.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Caregivers, trainers, psychologists, social workers, special needs teachers<\/b>, and other specialist staff.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Outcomes:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

    Improvement of the capabilities of organisations and institutions working with people with disabilities. Creation of a Guide to Independent Living and a training methodology for carers and staff of independent living units.<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. A guide to independent living <\/b>in small-scale accommodation and other forms of living.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Training methodology <\/b>for staff, including occupational therapy activities for adults.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Digital resource platform (ILU.org) <\/b>with 4 main sections:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
