{"id":3520,"date":"2026-02-16T22:02:54","date_gmt":"2026-02-16T20:02:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/edra.libra.softwebpages.com\/programm\/nexus\/"},"modified":"2026-05-28T23:39:04","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T20:39:04","slug":"nexus","status":"publish","type":"programm","link":"https:\/\/edra.org.gr\/en\/programm\/nexus\/","title":{"rendered":"NEXUS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Objective:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>NEXUS<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> project aims to develop, test and disseminate an educational programme designed to empower youth workers so that they are able to engage young people \u2014 and especially young carers \u2014 in participatory research and policy consultation mechanisms. This supports the creation of evidence-based policies that respond to the real needs of young people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Target Groups of the Project:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Youth professionals: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">people working with or for young people (teachers, social workers, psychologists, etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Young carers: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">children, teenagers and young adults who care for a family member with long-term care needs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Researchers, policymakers and policy implementers: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">at local, national and European level.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Results<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main outcome of the NEXUS project was the development and pilot implementation of a comprehensive training programme and methodologies that promote young people\u2019s participation in research and the policy consultation process. At the same time, it contributed to improving the skills of professionals working with young people, enabling them to support young carers more effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Specifically, the project\u2019s deliverables include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>A training programme <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for youth workers, covering topics such as:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participatory research: methodology and the role of young people as \u2018co-researchers\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Political mechanisms at European level and ways of active engagement<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>MOOC <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Massive Open Online Course) with free access for the widespread dissemination and use of the material<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>A report on policy recommendations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, based on the participation of all stakeholders and target groups<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Workshops using creative methods<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which enhanced dialogue and participation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Empowerment of young people <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to participate actively in political processes and be recognised as \u2018experts by experience\u2019<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Transnational cooperation <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to exchange good practices and strengthen the European dialogue in the youth sector<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The above results make a significant contribution to bridging the gap between research, policy and practice in the youth sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Project Partners:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.anzianienonso\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ANZIANI E NON SOLO SOCIETA COOPERATIVA SOCIALE<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Italy \u2013 Coordinator)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">K.S.D.E.O.
