Project Objective

CALM aims to equip adult educators with creative methods and artistic practices to support the mental wellbeing and mental health of learners. The project seeks to highlight creativity as a key tool for learning and well-being, strengthening resilience and emotional support through creative processes.

Target Groups of the Project:

  • Adult educators, responsible for organising and delivering educational activities.
  • Adult learners, primarily individuals who have faced restrictions and pressures due to the pandemic.
  • Organisations and bodies active in the fields of adult education and mental health.

The project is based on a European cooperation network between organisations from Greece (IASIS, EDRA), Italy, France, the United Kingdom and Spain for the exchange of practices and tools.

Results:

  1. Exchange of Good Practices: Programmes, seminars and documentation on creative learning and mental wellbeing.
  2. Development of Artistic-Educational Tools: Six learning activities, each focusing on a broader area of art and wellbeing (‘Learning Activities’).
  3. Creative Education Toolkit: Methods, techniques and tools for integrating art into adult education.
  4. Strengthening Mental Resilience: Through artistic activities, learners’ mental health is strengthened, with an emphasis on addressing anxiety and isolation.
