Objective: To develop and test an educational model for the prevention and response to sexual violence against women with disabilities.

Results: The programme was based on two main pillars:

  • The development and testing of an educational model, based on theatre techniques, aimed at women with intellectual disabilities (110), as well as professionals (220), enabling them to recognise, respond to and report any incident of sexual harassment
  • To inform and raise awareness among professionals (psychologists, social workers, medical staff, carers), with the aim of providing women with intellectual disabilities with the appropriate tools to enable them to put the training programme into practice.

During the programme, 110 women with intellectual disabilities and 220 professionals were trained.
